Citation | Adriaan Bax is recognized for his many developments in NMR spectroscopy as applied to both chemistry and life sciences. Bax played a major role in the development of multidimensional heteronuclear NMR. He pioneered the development of triple resonance NMR experiments and technology for resonance assignment of isotopically enriched proteins that opened up the whole field of biomolecular NMR spectroscopy. He also pioneered the development of residual dipolar couplings for high-resolution three-dimensional solution structure determination of proteins and nucleic acids. |
