Concerning Hevelius's books some of which he has had bound in two gilt volumes, whilst others have been sent to the Bodleian; states that he will send transcriptions of any Persian catalogue of stars; that Hyde, Keeper of the Bodleian, is writing a catalogue of the Bodleian Library; suggesting that Hevelius might publish the remainder of Jeremiah Horrox's observations; states that there are many typographical errors in 'Historia coelestis' which need to be corrected
Note by Henry Oldenburg states that a copy of the letter was sent to Johannes Hevelius on 25 January 1669 |
