| Description | Although the letters are not specific to the Southern Chile expedition, this paper is not duplicated in the Committee Minute books held by the Royal Society. The letters are dated between the 14 November 1958 and 18th June 1959, and have been sent to various representatives of the Royal Society by the following people: the Director of the National Museums of Ceylon; Professor M J Dunbar, McGill University; Dr T E Woodward, University of Queensland, Australia; Mr H H Lamb, Meteorological Office, Air Ministry, London; Professor W P Rogers, University of Adelaide, Australia.
