DescriptionThe majority of this correspondence is between D C Martin, the Assistant and later Executive Secretary of the Royal Society and expedition leader and member of the North Borneo Expeditions Committee, E J H Corner. The correspondence relates to Committee meetings and papers, exhibiting at the Royal Society Soiree, and occasionally to more general matters concerning the organisation of the expedition, such as a handwritten note from Corner relating to a press release, accompanied by a printed version from the times. The file includes the first letter to Sir Lindor Brown, Secretary of the Royal Society, with an official proposal for the expedition. The file includes follow-up correspondence between Martin and Corner which continues into 1966.
