TitleLetter from E J H Corner, c/o Department of Agriculture, Jesselton, Malaysia to George Hemmen, Royal Society
Date29 February 1964
DescriptionThanks Hemmen for his cable [not in file] and his letters. All is well except for two incidents. First describes his trip up to 'pig hill' so named after all the pig litter beds found. Explains Chua had to leave the expedition after health problems, has written to Chua to ask him to send any hospital bills direct to insurer. Smart also left expedition as 'he could not take it', not the fault of other expedition personnel, Hemmen or the Society but a 'bad egg'. Finishes on a few points including a small note with regards to Harrisons and Crosfields being slack in answering letters.
