DescriptionSir Hugh Elliott worked at the International Union for Conservation of Nature and Natural Resources liaison office during the period of correspondence and also attended a number of meetings of the Southern Zone Research Committee. Martin Holdgate [convener of the Tristan da Cunha study group] writes on behalf of the Royal Society. The majority of letters concern the future of research on the Tristan Island group, though there are some about more specific queries such as fair referencing and similar work on the Falkland Islands.
