DescriptionQuarto sized printing, headed 'The List of the Royal Society, MDCCLXIX', with the Royal Patron appearing as 'His Sacred Majesty King George III. Patron': together with 'His Sacred Majesty Stanislaus Augustus King of Poland', 'His Sacred Majesty Christian King of Denmark', 'His most Serene Highness Charles Margrave of Baaden Dourlach', 'His most Serene Highness Francis Duke of Modena', and 'His most Serene Highness Charles William Ferdinand, Hereditary Prince of Brunswick'. Consisting of an alphabetical record of all Fellows, in two columns, with members of the aristocracy in upper case. The title page contains 'The Present Council', headed by the President, James West, with a note on the continuation of Council until St Andrew's Day. The list of 'Persons of Other Nations' [Foreign Members] with brief notes on their locations, appears at pp.7-8. The note on the election of ten new Council Members on 30 November 1769, to serve in the ensuing year, is printed on p.6.
