DescriptionThe Festival of Britain celebrated the centenary of the Great Exhibition. The Festival site was London's South Bank.

As part of the Festival, scientific exhbitions were mounted in the Dome of Discovery on London's South Bank. Simon sat on the Physics Advisory Panel, which organised the scientific exhibits and displays.

Included are Committee minutes, related correspondence and official Festival of Britain brochures, including one detailing the scientific exhibits.

The papers offer an insight into a 1950s view of a history of physical science.
