DescriptionThe NPL was established in 1900. It's the United Kingdom's national standards laboratory, maintaining standards for most physical measurements.

Simon was a member of the NPL Committee set up in 1950 to investigate the possible utilization of Solar Energy.

This section contains correspondence with Prof EC Bullard (mostly on solar energy) and with Sir Charles Darwin, Director of the NPL, 1938-1949
