TitleLetter from Dr F Demuth to Professor Simon
Date02/09/1939
DescriptionLetter written from 6 Gordon Square, London WC1

'I have to inform you about the position of the "Notgemeinschaft" at the present time.

It will be very difficult to pursue our work of placements, even if it were possible. I have approached the British Authorities and suitable people offering our services, in particular recommending experts like engineeers, chemists, physicists, doctors, and I have offered a number of experts for information about economic conditions in Central Europe. I have no definite answer till now in which form, if any, use would be made of our services. I shall keep you informed of what happens.

In the meantime I wish you the brest and I hope you will come well out of this terrible time.'
