TitleLetter from Dr F Demuth to Professor Simon
Date14/09/1939
DescriptionLetter written from 6, Gordon Square, London WC1 and marked 'Strictly Confidential'

'We require for special purposes to complete our lists of Germans, Austrians and Czechs abroad in all countries, with the exception of the U.S.A., the British Empire and, of course, Nazi Germany, whom, depending on circumstances, we could contact as channels for propaganda. That is to say we should like to have names and exact addresses, in prticular of people in positions of some influence, for instance professors, business-men, administrators, etc. If you know of any natives of the countries in question who are beyond doubt on the side of Great Britain and France, we should welcome a list of their names and addresses too. We trust you will be able to suggest some people whom you know to be absolutely reliable and thanking you in anticipation.'
