TitleLetter from Lord Pakenham to Professor Simon
Date17/10/1947
DescriptionThanks Simon for his letter of 30th September about the German universities. Is making enquiries about the Professor Justi Simon mentioned. Unfortunately Birley has had to go into hospital and will be out of action for a few weeks, but it would still be a good plan for Simon to talk with Birley. If there is any chance Simon would be in the neighbourhood of Byfleet where he is in hospital Birley would be happy to see him, but if not a meeting could be arranged either in London or Oxford when Birely is about again.

Also gives thanks for the copy of a letter vrom Berlin about the state of mind of a working-class family.
