TitleLetter from Ilse J Ursell, Secretary to the Society for the Protection of Science and Learning to Professor Simon
Date12/04/1947
Description'I am sorry to trouble you again concerning some of the scholars with whom we are now out of touch. On this occasion they are all physicists.

The first is Dr Wolfgang KROLL, about whom you wrote to us in 1936. According to information which you sent us he was an Aryan engaged to a Jewess, who was working in Leipzig with Professor Heisenberg. You asked us to do nothing further at the time. For the sake of completeness of our records I should be interested to have any information which you may have available.

The second is Profesor Fritz REICHE, formerly of the University of Breslau. He was to have taken a research fellowship at the University of Aberdeen under Professor J A Carroll in the autumn of 1939 when the outbreak of war prevented him reaching this country.

I should be most grateful for any information which you may have concerning either of thesew scholars. '
