TitleCopy Dale to Sir Thomas Lewis, University College Hospital Medical School, London
Date29 December 1943
DescriptionAcknowledging receipt of his letter of 21 December with the statement of Gasser's qualification for the Ferrier Lecture, which he has passed on to Mr Davies. [Sir Percival] Hartley has shown him what he has in hand to assist in the claim for Harington and the Croonian [Lecture] and it appears to be a good case. He is less impressed with Hartley's claim for Cohn, and considers that Gasser should be considered for the Croonian if Harington is unavailable; he understands that Adrian wishes to make a case for Gordon Holmes for the Ferrier. Also correcting Lewis' confusion over dates of Royal Society Council meetings
