DescriptionThe Conference of Allied Ministers has appointed a committee to deal with the scientific rehabilitation of the universities and research institutes of the occupied countries. He chaired the first meeting but doesn't have the knowledge to take it forward, and asks if Tizard would take on the chairmanship. He sees two main problems: getting the occupied countries to accurately quantify their needs, and getting British manufacturing industry to take advantage of the opportunity
