DescriptionDale has discussed Fleming Memorial Appeal with him and his colleagues - understands Adrian, Himsworth, Porritt and Dodds are to meet at Buckingham Palace on 1st December - thanks this committee for trying to broaden basis of proposed memorial to Fleming - agrees to act as sponsor provided appeal is framed in terms which give reasonable perspective to introduction of penicillin into medicine - comments on extract from Medical Research Council Report, 1939 - 1945, which he is sending - Adrian might care to read chapters 1 and 15 of Antibiotics (Florey et al, 1949) - references may help if Adrian has to assist in framing the appeal.
