DescriptionThanks for penicillin - hopes Heatley had received sample of their best penicillin - discusses a sample of Meyer's crystalline material - are publishing in full the purification methods and chemistry done before joining with ICI - discusses results of blood tests done on people working on the extraction process - gives details of improvements to the assay method - discusses other moulds producing antibacterial substances and penicillic acid - have devised process which gets over emulsion difficulties - hopes there will be pooling of information with ICI - is getting some material from ICI - getting material of 110u/mgm from steep liquor after one passage through the alumina column.
