On verso of a letter from d'Abreu to Poole, War Office, 5 October 1943: Is sending details of two important penicillin cases - three chest wall wounds responded well to penicillin - local penicillin is helped by adequate drainage of pleural infection - have not set up as a functioning hospital in Sicily - has small amount of penicillin for intravenous use.
