The notes detail the monthly registers taken onboard ship at Port Arthur, Tasmania, Australia with dates at sea (Sept 1836 to January 1837), on land throughout 1837. Notes the price of postage. Also notes hourly observations for Hobart, Tasmania, Australia and on board the ship Fairlie. The date of the notes correspond with John Franklin's position as governor of Tasmania.
