DescriptionHe thanks Herschel for his spirited translation of the commencement of 'The Iliad'. These thanks may have come late, but he wished to read Book 2. He read Book 1 in the Cornhill [Magazine] with pleasure, and hopes he will go on with it. Hexameters are the only metre worthy of Homer. He also thanks Herschel for the dialogue 'On Atoms'.
