TitleLetter from Annie H Mackinnon, to 'My dear Mr Herschel' [John Herschel]
Dateno date
DescriptionShe is sorry to hear that the hat is of no use to Mr Bernard, but she does not see what they have to apologise for. She is glad that Herschel preserved it from Mr Cox. She did not mind it being spoiled by the theatricals, but it was better not eaten. Herschel played billiards all night but did not mention how the ball went. They are going to the Houghtons today and will not return until later, so tomorrow evening would be better for his 'singing lesson'. They may see Herschel that evening.
