CreatorThuillier; Sir Henry Ravenshaw (1838-1922); Anglo-Indian army officer and surveyor
Date4 June 1863
DescriptionHe sends two carte-de-visite albums to Herschel, which he hopes will be liked, together with the bill. Herschel should receive them a day or two after he receives this letter. Thuillier saw Herschel's brother [William James Herschel] who seems 'jolly at the thought of going home'. Willy Stewart is also there and Thuiullier intends to take a house with him, furnished with a piano. He will send a carte to Herschel as soon as he has one taken, and asks for Herschel's.
