DescriptionHe is getting on well, having his first day with Moncrieff and Thomason [Charles Simson Thomason?] at Mohammadpur. He thinks it not nearly as hot as when he marched before. He complains about his servants and bearer and asks Herschel to take care of his pencil case and Shakespeare volumes. He has not seen others of their mutual acquanitance, and Cumming has smashed his level. He hopes Herschel's leg will be better soon.
