Description | He hopes that Herschel received his last letter with the draft of sixty rupees and he now sends the balance for his order of tea and thanks him for executing the commission. He asks how Herschel is getting on at Mussourie and comments on how dull it is at Ambala, noting the heat and rain. Now that ther incumbent has returned, he is no longer the Cantonment Magistrate and is his own master. He was in orders last month for Kussowlie [Kasauli], but did not go, having lost the months of April and May. He has not yet had a reply to his letter to Walker. |
