TitleLetter from Hasts. [Hastings] Macsween, Dehli, to 'My dr. Herschel' [John Herschel]
CreatorMacsween; Hastings (fl.1840s-1860s); British army officer
Date6 September 1863
DescriptionDescribing his rain-affected travels and safe return to Dehli from Mussoorie. The heat is very great in the middle of the day, less so in the morning and evening, but he sees no-one as he drives or rides in the evening, unlike the Mall at Mussoorie. He thinks that in a few years Dehli will be one of the best stations in India. He asks for news, but not scandal, from Mussoorie.
