CreatorHerschel; Mary Cornwallis [formerly Power; née Lipscombe] (1829-1876)
Date9 January 1872
DescriptionShe has not heard from 'BRB' and she send one 'Pall Mall' [Gazette] to John. Mary was out for ten hours yesterday, and no morphia was required until just now, after thirty-five hours. She describes her expedition to 'Lady Canning's Seat'. Captain Jackson had been to the spot, although Mrs Jackson had not, it being 'one of the most beautiful hereabouts'. The bearers were late but they commenced at a quarter to nine, and after a variety of difficulties, arrived just before midday.
