CreatorHardcastle; Joseph Alfred (1868-1917); British astronomer
Date30 January 1910
DescriptionHe regrets to say that the doctor has decided to put him to bed, perhaps for six weeks. He asks for a note to be sent to the Acland home in Oxford, giving permission to hand his letters about the papers [of William Herschel] to Professor Turner. There is nothing confidential in them and Turner will be discrete in any use he makes of them. Hardcastle will hand him his own report on the Bath papers. If Turner requests to see the Bath papers , Hardcastle asks for permission to send them, otherwise he will return them to Herschel.
