DescriptionHe is glad that Sir William looks faviourably on the Royal Astronomical Society having a copy of one of the William Herschel portraits. The most interesting is the one by Arnaud, which represents Herschel at the time of his being President, rather than as a younger man. He gather that Sir William has not received the volumes, and he will write to the Royal Society accordingly.
