TitleCorrespondence between John Nye and Barclay Kamb concerning glacier sliding
Date1969
DescriptionCorrespondence between John Nye and Barclay Kamb at the University of California, Los Angeles. Nye had sent Barclay a preprint of a paper on Glacier Sliding due to be published in the Proceedings of the Royal Society ['Glacier sliding without cavitation in a linear viscous approximation']. In reply, Kamb explained that he had done very similar work in 1964, but had not yet published it. The correspondence discusses their theories and includes the text of an addendum Nye added to his paper before publication to credit Barclay's unpublished work.
