Higgins was a guest of the Japan Academy, and the itinerary for the trip includes visits to the Japan Academy, Kyoto University, JSPS (Japan Society for the Promotion of Science), Science Council of Japan and JAEA (Japan Atomic Energy Agency).

The file includes email correspondence, notes of thanks, collected ephemera (business cards and leaflets), and a photograph of Higgins.

Also included is a copy of the resulting Royal Society 'Report on RS Japan Academy visit' (April 2006).
