In the printed Candidates Book there is a variation on the citation; Distinguished for his researches on organic compounds of sulphur, especially with regard to (I) the influence of a sulphur atom on the reactivity of other atoms or groups in the same malecule and (II) the stereo-chemistry of the cyclic disulphoxides. Reference may be made to his work on the valency angles of sulphur and oxygen, organic molecular compounds and the interpretation of surface energy data. |
