DescriptionDaily observations at two hourly intervals at Singapore. Readings of the declination magnetometer, horizontal force magnetometer and its attached thermometer, vertical force magnetometer and its attached thermometer, uncorrected barometer and its attached thermometer, dry and wet thermometers, elasticity of vapour at the temperature of the hygrometer and at the temperature of the dew point [four daily observations each], miminum temperature, solar and terrestrial radiation and Moon's age. With daily standard thermometer and corrected barometer readings. There are also term day observations, commencing at 10.00p.m. on 27 May, and concluding at 9.00p.m. on 28 May [Gottingen mean time], with readings of the magnetometers, barometer, wet and dry thermometers and standard thermometer, with wind direction, quantity of clear sky, and general remarks on the weather.

Each sheet is headed: 'Observatory at Singapore. Abstract of daily observations....' or 'Abstract of Term-day observations...'. Signed [p.13, and p.20]: 'C.M. Elliot Lt. Engineers Supt. Mag. Obsy. Singapore'. Initialled as checked in pencil 'W.D.'.
