Columns for marked ends, limb, needle direct and reversed north and south, with sums and means. Entries from p.18 onward are not dated, and have the note: 'The object of these observations has been to try the correctness of the cylindrical form...but unfortunately the instrument got changed and put into a new position before the observations had been proceeded with...'.
