Description | Observations of magnetic dip made using No.2 Lloyd's needle (new), then needles numbered Lloyd A1 and A2 at the 'Shed near Observatory'. Columns for needle position: face from limb, and with limb, and lower and upper end; columns for poles direct and poles reversed. From p.18, observations are given from the same dates, reverse and direct observations, with columns for 'marked end North' and 'marked end South'.
