DescriptionGraphical representations of meteorological observations made at Karachi, Pakistan [then India] at the hospital of the 2nd Bombay European Light Infantry Regiment. Two diagrams per sheet. The upper diagram is headed: 'Barometer, and Wind and Rain Diagram from the 5 a.m. observations'. The lower is headed: 'Thermometer and Hygrometer Diagram'. Direction of wind is noted by compass arrows.

Each sheet is headed 'Meteorological Observatory at the Hospital...'. 2nd R. E. Lt. Infty Kurrachee...'. Signed 'W.B. Barrington Surgeon 2nd Regiment...' May-August 1854, succeeded by 'A. Wright Surgeon' September-November 1854. Also signed by B.P. Rooke as Supervising Surgeon. The printed sheet is engraved lower left and right: 'H. James Captn. R.E. delt. J.W. Lowry sc.'. Each sheet is inscribed verso with similar general information on the observations. Typed paper label [p.2]: 'Kurrachee. Barometer, wind & rain, Thermometer and Hygrometer diagrams. 15 May - 30 Nov 1854'.
