DescriptionDaily observations of the tides, arranged on monthly tables, at the Dutch fort on Kapal Island, Indonesia. Columns for: date; heights of high water and low water in Dutch yards and English feet and inches [the latter not completed]; tidal range; wind direction and force; turn of stream [not completed]; and general remarks. With fields beneath the main table, for noting the type of timepiece used, and the type of barometer. A printed key is give for wind force abbreviations 0-12.

Each sheet is headed in English and Dutch: 'Register of Tides, observed at op het Eiland Onrust...in the month of...' with the month and year added. Signed by the observer, top right: 'J Liesbroek'.
