| Description | Fair copy daily observations of atmospheric electricity, volume 2, with some omitted days when observation was not possible, and accompanying meteorological information. Including diary-style prose descriptions of weather events. The main sets of data record the date and time of observations, temperature, wind, and clouds; with earth and air electricity readings, and occasional general remarks. The location of the observations was Winter Quarters, at McMurdo Sound, Antarctica. The volume commences with [p.3] a list of key dates at Winter Harbour for the departure of Sun, midwinter, return of Sun, Midnight Sun and maximum altitude. A note [p.4] gives the instrument as 'Electrometer No.81 G. White Glasgow'. There is a pencil sketch of the instrument set-up [p.28].
