Enclosed is a copy of a letter from the Legation of the United States, G J Phelps, to the Marquis of Salisbury, dated 20 March 1888, consisting of three pages, and requests the [Philosophical] Transactions and Proceedings of the Royal Society to be obtained through poper course of communication. Enclosed is a letter from W Vilas, Secetart of the Department of the Interior, Washington, to the Secretary of State, dated 3 February 1888, consisting of two pages. Enclosed is copy of a letter from Commissioner of Patents, B J Hall, Department of the Interior, Washington, to the Secretary of the Interior, dated 30 January 1888, consisting of three pages, regarding the request for the Society's Philosophical Transactions and Proceedings, and volumes which are missing from their collection. |
