Title | Letter from [Harry Govier] Seeley, 25 Palace Gardens Terrace, Kensington, to [Mcihael] Foster |
Creator | Seeley; Harry Govier (1839-1909) |
Date | 6 October 1892 |
Description | Regarding the Pareiasaurus found by Seeley with the aid of the Government Grant from the Royal Society. Seeley remarks that 'there has always been an understanding' that the specimen is to be transferred to the British Musuem. Seeley suggests the time has now arrived for this change in custody to take place, which will allow the specimen to be 'publicly exhibted as part of the national collection', as well as other fossils which were given to him. |
