DescriptionRefers to enclosures, comprising correspondence dated 29 December 1897-11 January 1898, between Sir Grant Duff, Winchester Town Hall, and the Deanery, as well as a resoluition of the disuccsions titled 'Copy of a Resolution passed unanimously at a Meeting of the Council of the Royal Historical Society on the 19th January 1898 on the motion of Mr. Frederic Harrison, seconded by the Treasurer' [four enclosures present].

Informs he has been directed to forward it to the Royal Society and suggest a joint meeting, of the various Royal Societies, in Winchester in 1901, with a view to commemorate he thousandth anniversary of the death of King Alfred. Lists suggestions of appropriate features of the prospective meeting.
