DescriptionResponding to a letter from The Royal Society, dated 29 April, in relation to publication of results of the observations made at the recent solar eclpise, following a Royal Astronomical Society Committee meeting to discuss the matter. The observation results were submitted too late for publication therefore the Royal Astronomical Society proposes two alternative plans for distribution of the full reports. In order to proceed, he sends two preliminary reports, one by Mr [William] Christe and the other by Dr [Ralph] Copeland, with the remainder anticipated to be sent in the following days.
