Refers to a letter from Professor Leo, commenting that conversations with [Jean Gaston] Darboux and [Joseph Louis Francois] Bertrand were preliminary and in aid of facilitating the success of the official application. States that he has used the willingness of the Paris Academy as a method of pressuring individuals in Berlin.
