DescriptionThe author, the son of the late Mr. Henry White (who worked as a copyist for The Royal Society), submits a statement regarding his ability to continue his late father's work. He states that during his seven year employment with the society he gained expertise in scientific paper compilation, library management, indexing, cataloguing, as well as being proficient in German, French, and Latin. He adds he also has knowledge in various branches of science and experience in preparing and correcting catalogues for the press. The author's late father believed his son capable of carrying on his work if needed.
