DescriptionInforming that he has sent the Society an enamelled portrain of John Whitehurst, FRS by W. H Crofts [sic.] (the painters name is William Hopkins Craft), dated 1786. The portrait referred to in the letter forms part of the Royal Society's portrait collection and is referenced P/0242. It has also been digitised (RS.14108) and can be accessed on the Royal Society Picture Library.
