Description'Dear Sir, Will you favour us with a card of admission to the meeting of the Royal Society on Thursday afternoon next: we are deeply interested in the subject of [?] Lodge's communication. Yours truly, Editors'.

Enclosed is a typescript reply from the Assistant Secretary of the Royal Society to the Editors of the Lancet, dated 6 December 1904, consisting of one page. Informs it is not the Society's practice to issue cards to the press for admission to meetings, however interested press representatives may give their name to be submitted to the President, who has the authority to grant admission. These are closed meetings and papers discussed at them cannot be reported on.
