TitleLetter from Rhys Jenkins, [Examiner in the Patent Office], The Patent Office, 25 Southampton Buildings, W.C, to Robert Harrison, [Royal Society]
CreatorJenkins; Rhys (fl 1913); The Patent Office
Date20 December 1912
DescriptionAcknowledges previous correspondence and the courtesy shown to him when visiting the Royal Society. Regretful that the Hooke papers he consulted did not furnish him with the information he was seeking. States that the facts which he has been able to glean so far, on the early history of the steam engine, will not justify the production of another book on the subject, therefore he will produce a paper for submission to the Institute of Mechanical Engineers, instead. Informs that should he require any further manuscript material from the Royal Society, he will write again.
