Title | Letter from [Arthur] Smith Woodward, 4 Scarsdale Villas, Kensington, W, to Mr [Robert] Harrison, [Royal Society] |
Creator | Woodward; Sir; Arthur Smith (1864 - 1944) |
Date | 18 May 1912 |
Description | He is sorry to find, upon his return, that Dr [Francis Arthur] Bather has been troubling Harrison with his "suffragette fanaticism", stating that his ways are not always tactful, and that those who know his eccentricities do not take them seriously. Informs that he has spoken to him and advised him to be more discreet but as he wrote to Harrison in a private capacity, he does not think Bather's letter concerns his official self. Refers tothe case of a specific lady being different and that he will bestow some "fatherly" remarks on her when he next meets her. |
