TitleLetter from G. Lecointe, Observatoire Royal de Belgique, to the [Royal Society]
CreatorObservatoire Royal de Belgique
Date11 February 1919
DescriptionDiscusses a discrepancy noted in the "Comptes rendus de l'Académie des Sciences de Paris" regarding the establishment of the Advisory Council by Mr. A. Henderson, the British Minister of Public Instruction. According to the publication, the proposal for creating the Advisory Council was deposited on 23 July 1916. However, just two pages later, the same report mentions a report from the new organisation for the year 1915-1916. Requests clarification on the exact date when Mr. Henderson's proposal was deposited or to which period the "First Report of the Committee of the Privy Council for Scientific and Industrial Research" corresponds.
