TitleLetter from [Charles Herbert] Lees, Greenacres, Dry Hill Road, Tonbridge, to [Francis Alexander] Towle
CreatorLees; Charles Herbert (1864-1952); physicist
Date6 November 1925
Description'Dear Mr. Towle, In reply to your letter of Oct. 30th which arrived this morning, I knew so little of the late Prof. Barton outside his published work that I feel I am not the proper person to write his obituary notice. I could not supply any of those personal references which make the R.Soc. obituary notices so valuable. I would suggest that one of his Nottingham colleagues would be much more suitable. I am yours truly, C H Lees'.
