Title | Letter from Oliver Joseph Lodge, 2 Grove Park, Liverpool, to the Secretaries of the Royal Society |
Date | 12 February 1895 |
Description | The sum of £40 a year spread over science is almost useless, he states. He thinks that if a biennial lecture in physical science was established, to enable a distinguished foreigner to be invited, and to promote friendly feeling, it would be worth more than the sum expended. The Bakerian Lecture does not meet the case. He would like to see Professor Olszewski invited to lecture near to the Anniversary Meeting and to receive the Davy Medal. |
